the all fiberglass body is based on a '53 oval. the body was 4th out of the mold back in feb. 2001. a v.w. racer and fiberglass boat repairer by the name of tim norwood of severville tenn. built the body and the rest of the assorted fiberglass pieces. the mild steel chassis was built by kevin shull racecars [k.s.r.] of west columbia s.c. and features strange pro stock front struts with direct mount single piston front calipers and slotted rotors, the back features a pro mod type 4 link, q1 coil over shocks,aftermarket 9'' ford type rear end housing, strange 4 piston rear calipers with slotted rotors. other pieces and parts include a flaming river pinto type rack and pinion, s and w steering columm with removable steering wheel, wilwood duel master cylinder on 1 common brake pedal,plus all kinds of other smaller things i can't think of right now. this is as far as i have gotten so far,i only got the chassis to my home in evansville indiana the 10th of nov. 2001. the power train is this:
347 stroker based on a 1968 302 ford mexican block that from the factory has screw in freeze plugs and screw in main cap studs the block is 0.30 over bored and uses a aftermarket scat stroker crankshaft. slightly longer eagle h beam connecting rods and light weight 12.5 to 1 probe pistons,state of the art in 1996 world products heads [ dart ] but' now ....well, there are many heads out there better.!!!!! the normal racing stuff like a gear drive, roller cam shaft with lift in the .670 range, roller rockers. stud and main gurdle....all kind's of thing!!
